The Caribbean Shipping Association’s 53rd Annual General Meeting, Conference, and Exhibition kicked off in grand style with a welcome ceremony held at the luxurious Hyatt Regency Hotel in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. This event marked the beginning of what promised to be an insightful and engaging gathering for over 400 industry professionals and stakeholders from the Caribbean shipping community. The welcome ceremony was a testament to the region’s commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and growth within the maritime sector.
Guests at the welcome ceremony were treated to a delightful cocktail reception. This relaxed and convivial atmosphere allowed attendees to connect, exchange ideas, and establish new partnerships. The cocktails not only set the tone for a week of productive discussions but also showcased the renowned Caribbean hospitality, providing a perfect blend of business and pleasure.
In addition to the cocktail reception, a special dinner was organized for members of the Silver Club, a distinguished group representing industry members with 25 years or more of service in the shipping sector. This dinner was a heartfelt gesture to honor their enduring commitment and contributions to the maritime industry. It provided an opportunity for Silver Club members to reminisce about their journey and share their wealth of experience with their peers, ensuring the legacy of expertise and dedication continued to thrive within the Caribbean shipping community.
